Story
Our family is engaged in winemaking for the fifth generation. In 2019, I created my own company Anemo. We started with the production of 6000 bottles per year, in 2023 we have reached about 21300 bottles from the best terroir, 6 different varieties. For 2024 Vintage it will be produce about 31200 bottles.
Anemo wines are exported in 6 countries. Our wine “Krakhuna” is included in the wine menu of Restaurant Mirazur (Best restaurant 2019 in the world, 3 star Michelin) which is a great honor for me.
I make myself all my wine. It is important for me to preserve the typicality of the variety, the terroir, not to interfere too much, although I want it to develop with me, do not taking away its freedom!

Anna’s emotion
``This is my emotion, my thoughts, attitude, feeling, what I want to give and what I want to talk about.``
Our family is traditionally engaged in viticulture – winemaking, mother is a winemaker Luisa Buchukuri, she was chef winemaker many years, brother is also a winemaker. Grandparents and their parents were also engaged in the same business. We are the fourth generation. Many, many years ago, in one region of Kakheti, when 3 villages were settled, my great-grandfather Iobi Buchukuri was the first to plant a vineyard In this terroir (Rkatsiteli grape variety) and start making grate wine, he also sold his wine himself.
I realized that it was important for me to connect my future professional life with the creation of “something”, something that could be constantly developed and also development/refinement of my creation (my wine) it would be possible to evaluate some years later.
Conversations about wine, its discussions have been familiar since childhood, but this is not enough to get to know it, and that’s why I decided to study winemaking.

I studied in Georgia, then in France (Burgundy, Bordeaux), worked in the wine industry of both regions. In the meantime, I returned to Georgia and in 2004-2005 I headed a wine company that owned 300 hectares of vineyards. Since 2007, I have been working as the chairman of the State Tasting Commission, since 2013 I have been heading the Faculty of Viticulture and Winery at the Agrarian University, since 2009 I have had my own wine school – Vinemo, I have my TV Show “all about wine with Anna Godabrelidze”, but all this time I missed making wine with my own hands, the smell that is in the cellar, taking care of wine – participation in his birth and development, that’s why from 2019 I started again what is mine! Making my own wine!
In 2019, we make Kvevri Krakhuna 2019, grape variety from West Georgia, which today is sold in America (New York, New Jersey, Virginia), Norway, France, Holland, Germany.
We also make Kvevri Saperavi 2019, a grape variety from Eastern Georgia, namely from Kvarli, which is famous for its teroir. This wine is also sold in the same countries.
In 2022 already have 5 different wines. Tsolikauri Kvevri, Krakhuna Kvevri/oak, Rkatsiteli (oak) “sur lie” Saperavi Kvevri/oak and Alexandouli/Mujuretuli.
Our wines are made from grapes sourced from the best terroirs and vineyards. In the year when there is not the best harvest, we do not produce wine. That is why in 2021 we did not install Krakhuna. However, we make an amazingly interesting wine from Tsolikauri, grown in the most mountainous wine region of Georgia.
Attitude is very important for me, attitude towards the product what I create and also towards my customer who trusts me. I appreciate him, he appreciates my work and my wine, which is so precious to me. The trust shown by the customer towards you has to be respected and appreciated.
